THC dose ingested

The effects of ingested THC are far more powerful than those of smoked THC, and it’s essential to understand this before tackling dosage. When the cannabis-derived  product is ingested, our liver metabolizes THC into an extremely potent form. As a result, the same dose ingested can have far more intense and long-lasting effects than when smoked. Be aware of this significant difference before venturing into the THC ingestion experience.

At My Pot, our priority is to ensure that you have a good experience with these products. But it’s vital not to overdose, as this could lead to a bad experience that you can’t escape quickly (altered perception, anxiety, panic, paranoia, dizziness, weakness, difficulty speaking, lack of coordination, excessive sleep…). For this reason, we strongly recommend the following framework:

It’s very important to understand that ingested THC can take up to 2 hours to reach its effects in the human body. Once you’ve ingested the prescribed dose, be patient and don’t add any more THC before the 2-hour mark, as you run the risk of overdosing.

Here are 2 other important factors to take into account for a successful THC ingestion dosage:

  1. Nutrition: Consumption on a full stomach will weaken the product’s potency. Conversely, an empty stomach will increase the effects, but you’ll also be more likely to overdose. Be moderate!
  2. Mood: If you suffer from anxiety or have a particular worry on your mind, it’s best to choose a better time to enjoy these types of products.
